That said we are happy to be wrapping up this last on-season after having an adventurous and exciting round of seasonal tours, shuttlings, parades and appearances that helped Tillamook Eco Adventures become the growing company that it is!

This last year saw “Eco-2″ (Our main tour van) represent Tillamook Eco Adventures in area events such as the Tillamook June Dairy Parade and the Rockaway 4th of July Parade, as well as the Garibaldi Day’s celebration!  Even Sasquatch decided to help us out!  He was there hoping folks would show up the the Search for Sasquatch Tour!

We gave a number of tours this last season; from our signature Dairyland Tour to the County Waterfalls adventure!  And of course we can never overlook the Brewhouse & Winery tour where we get to sample some of the area’s best products!

This season also provided us the fantastic opportunity to have a few awesome write-ups in local and international publications!  We catered to a professional travel writer who got Tillamook Eco Adventures mentioned on Examiner.com and Oregonlive.com!  She mentioned our Search for Sasquatch tour as well as provided a basic rundown of most of our tours!

During the summer we saw the inclusion of the “Shellfish Shuffle Tour” which is done in conjunction with the Netarts Bay Shellfish Hatchery.  We viewed the process behind the oyster industry and learned how due to their inherent intolerance to minute fluctuations in water PH that they are the proverbial ‘canary in the coal mine’ for general area ocean acidification!  Really interesting stuff that they do there!  Not only do they grow and rear the oysters from larvae, but they also take part in area scientific research on shellfish ecosystems.  But wait there’s more!!!  Afterward we stop by the Nevor Shellfish Farm for a first hand sample of the oysters themselves!  Offering a complete farm-to-table experience!

This year we also renewed our involvement with Groupon and the FOX12 Daily Deals program!  We’ve seen a number of new customers because of our involvement with them and am happy to help provide affordable options to potential tour customers.

All in all 2014 turned out to be a great year of operations!  We had the inclusion of our new website from Tillamook Design!  As well as a number of new things that remain to be announced that will be ready for the summer of 2015!  So stay tuned!!

Cheers folks!
